Police yet to bring my daughter’s killer back to Nigeria, late Augusta’s mother cries out

Cordelia Okonye, mother of Augusta Osedion, has called for public support in the extradition of Benjamin Nnanyereugo, the alleged murderer of her daughter.

Nnanyereugo, known as “Killaboi,” fled Nigeria after confessing to killing Augusta in July 2023.

He was later arrested in Sierra Leone.

However, Okonye, in an Instagram post, lamented the apparent delay in Nnanyereugo’s extradition back to Nigeria.

She wrote:”I am the mother of Augusta who was murdered by her partner, Benjamin, on the 13th July. He publicly confessed to killing her on the 17th of July.

“He was declared wanted on the 10th of October after much pressure from our part. He was arrested in Sierra Leone on 21st of October by my family who worked with Sierra Leonian police.

“Till date, the Nigerian Police is yet to bring him back to Nigeria. I am appealing to the Nigerian Police and to every Nigerian to help see to his extradition as this is taking too much time. Please I sincerely need your help please.”
