The Presidential and National Assembly election which kicked off smoothly in many polling booths in Okokomaiko, Ojo Local Government of Lagos State was disrupted at ward 034, situated at No 6 Agumale Street, PPL Bus Stop, Okoko when some hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons such as gun, cutlasses and iron rods came and destroyed election materials, wounded some people and chased away voters.

This happened around 12: 30 pm when voters were waiting for accreditation and voting.

The only Police Officer on duty could not do anything to stop them as he was overpowered by the hoodlums.

Some of the voters who spoke with our correspondent expressed surprise that INEC and the Police could only deploy one Police Officer to man a polling booth in the area
