Reps receive 2018 Auditor General’s report of MDA’s financial impropriety
...To begin probe of defaulting agencies, Nov 30

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts said it has received the 2018 Auditor General of the Federation’ s report on various audit infractions commited by Ministries Departments and Agencies of government.
It is also set to launch a probe to ascertain the degree of queries and the necessary action to take against the defaulting agencies
The affected MDAs will be summoned from Monday 30th November
Chairman of the committee, Honourable Oluwole Oke, who disclosed this weekend, said the House would commence considerations of queries raised on financial impropriety by the Auditor General for the Federation to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA) of government.
According to him , the audit queries were accompanied by the annual performance audit report on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) on maintenance of federal roads as well as the performance Audit report on the budgeting process in Nigeria also submitted before the committee by the AuGf
“So we now have these three documents in our kitty and we shall commence considerations of the queries on issues raised by inviting the relevant MDAs of government” Oke submitted.
” We shall also conducted an on the spot assessment inspection of the projects where the Auditor General has cast doubt or aspersions on, so that we can have value for money reports” he added
The Chairman , however, called on the Clerk to the National Assembly, Ojo Amos ,to direct the relevant clerks of the Senate and House to write the affected agencies and cause their appearance at various scheduled dates alloted them
