A Dutse, Jigawa State- based Fulani activist, Mustapha Barkindo has described the recent call by Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed calling on herders “to move with guns in defence of their lives” from any aggression as uncalled for and a recipe for anarchy.
“It will breed total confusion in the country if we ask every herdsmen to be armed. Gov. Bala got that part wrong.”, Barkindo said, even though he applauded him for speaking up for the Fulani herdsmen who are being vilified all over the country
He urged the authorities at Federal and State levels to seek holistic solutions to the perennial herders-farmers’ clashes ravaging the country.
