Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Edison Ehie has been impeached.
According to reports, Ehie’s removal comes hours after an explosion occured, razing the assembly complex on Sunday night.
It was learnt that 24 members of the assembly signed for Ehie to be removed from his position.

Following Ehie’s impeachment, a protest was said to have erupted outside of the complex.
However, security operatives fired tear gas outside the building to calm the situation.
