Jumoke Oyeleke, a sachet water seller who was fatally shot at a Yoruba Nation rally has been laid to rest.
Oyeleke was buried at Atan Cemetery, Yaba on Friday, August 20th, 2021.
The 25-year-old was hit in the back by a stray bullet while fleeing from the venue of the Yoruba Nation rally.
Witnesses at the rally claimed that Oyekele was killed by a stray bullet shot into the air to disperse protesters.

However, the Lagos State Police Command denied that its operative was responsible for Oyeleke’s death during the rally.
The Command also said an Ogboni Chief, Tajudeen Bakare, who was also a protester at the rally, has been charged with the murder of Oyeleke.
