Ahead of the Saturday 19 September 2020 governorship election in Edo State, security agencies have taken their operations to some hotels across the state over information that thugs have been imported and lodged there.
The combined team of Soldiers, police, civil defense and Department of State Service are also occupying some strategic areas especially in Benin city and Auchi.
The team are visible in some major roads especially roads linking to Auchi, Agbor, Warri, Gelegele and Abraka.
An inside sources said few persons were arrested in Akoko Edo local government in a hotel and the search to comb all flash point is ongoing.
Our sources also said that all boundaries with Edo State will be officially down at 12 midnight on Thursday.
