Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has ordered a probe into the alleged assault on a security guard by the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Danladi Umar.

This comes after a Senator representing Plateau North, Istifanus Gyang, submitted a petition before the Senate on behalf of the victim, Clement Sargwak, who is an employee of Jul Reliable Guards Services Limited.

Sargwak, in his petition presented by Senator Gyang, alleged that he was brutally assaulted by the CCT Chairman and a policeman attached to him, an allegation denied by Umar.

The CCT chairman had claimed in a statement that it was Sargwak and other “miscreants” that assaulted him.

In a viral video posted online, Danladi Umar was seen kicking and slapping Sargwak over an altercation in regards to a parking space in Bannex Plaza, Abuja.
