Stop making remarks to incite chaos in Rivers, Charles Idahosa tells Fubara

A former Commissioner for Information in Edo State, Hon. Charles Idahosa, has cautioned Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State to desist from making comments that could cause chaos in the state.

The prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also called on the presidency to stop the governor from further causing tension in the state.

Recall that Fubara, during a commissioning event, had called on youths in the state to get ready to unleash mayhem in anticipation of his impeachment by the House of Assembly.

Reacting, the APC chieftain criticised political leaders in the state over their silence, arguing that it was because of personal gain.

He remarked on the dangers of Fubara’s rhetoric, questioning the governor’s qualifications and suggesting that his actions could lead to violence, similar to past events in Edo.

Idahosa also called the attention of security agencies in the state and country to the utterances of the governor, which he said were unguarded.

“Are his children among the youths that he is keeping on standby? They made you a governor and overnight you won’t let the country rest, you won’t let Rivers State see peace,” he stated.

Idahosa emphasised that the appropriate resolution to disputes lies in the judicial system, especially since the Supreme Court had already ruled on the matter.

He blasted the governor for his lack of gratitude towards those who helped him rise to power.
