Osun Election: PWDs endorse Governor Oyetola for 2nd term

Persons with Disabilities, PWDs, Osun State Chapter, have endorsed the incumbent governor of Osun State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola for a second term in office.

The endorsement of Gov. Oyetola after extensive deliberations among the various PWDs clusters was unanimous as a result of the various empowerment and employment opportunities that have improved the lots of many members of the community.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), National Leader, PWDs, Honourable Tolu Bankole, in a statement noted that the Governor has earned the admiration and trust of the PWDs community due to his people-oriented programs and initiatives since 2018.

“Among the fifteen candidates on the ballot in this election, you are the only one that can defend our interest. Your various empowerment initiatives ranging from the health insurance scheme; to welfare and employment programs have endeared you to the PWDs.

“We do not doubt that in your second term in office, you will do more in the areas of economic emancipation and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities,” he said.

The entire PWDs community in Osun State thereafter through a voice vote passed a vote of confidence on the candidature and re-election of Gov Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

PWDs from all clusters within the party and other political parties who were represented at the meeting which was held at the ZEBAF Hotel, Osogbo all promised to match their words with action by voting for All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday.

Some of the dignitaries at the event include Mr Onitiju. K. Samuel; former state chairman of JONAPWDs; Comrade Lukman Nafiu, leader, PWDs, Osun state; Mr Stephen Oluwafemi, Osun state chairman of JONAPWDs; among others.
