
The Kano State Government yesterday postponed the declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector scheduled for today, Tuesday.
The postponement was considered essential in light of the industrial action disrupting major activities nationwide led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

A statement by the Director-General of Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sanusi Bature, said the state extends its apologies for any inconvenience caused to the guests due to the cancellation.
“Details regarding the rescheduling of the event will be communicated shortly,” the statement added.
