The Secretary to the Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Muhammadu Sifawa, lost his daughter and three grandchildren to a fire outbreak in the early hours yesterday.
The incident took place at the home of his daughter, a housewife to the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Sports and Youths Development, Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello.
The fire, which started in the wee hours of the night, engulfed the entire House while the family was sleeping. Unfortunately, only the husband, Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, survived the inferno.
The remains of the deceased housewife and her three children are scheduled for burial at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque Sifawa at about midnight today. The burial will take place at the family home of the SSG.
