The family of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has confirmed the abduction of his younger sister and her twin sons by armed men in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the family said the victims, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were kidnapped at about 7:30 a.m. while she was taking them to school.

It added that the case was immediately reported to security agencies, which have since launched investigations and begun coordinated efforts to rescue the victims.
According to the statement, Mrs. John-Paul, aged 43, is the youngest of five children of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke Adelabu. She was reportedly preparing to join her husband in the United States before the incident occurred.
The family said it is working closely with security agencies and expressed confidence that efforts are underway to secure the safe return of the abducted victims and apprehend those responsible.
While describing the incident as distressing, the family appealed for calm and urged members of the public to avoid speculation or the spread of unverified information that could interfere with ongoing rescue operations.
