Jigawa State Govt Vows To Take Stern Measures On Security

The Commissioner, Agric and Natural Resources  Hon. Col. Mohammed Alhassan(rtd) has said disturbed by the incessant wave crime,  the Jigawa state executive council has approved  stern security measures aimed to contain security challenges confronting the state.

Speaking to newsmen, shortly after the council’s meeting, at Govt. House Dutse,the Commissioner said “the council has deliberated extensively in taking stern measures to confront security challenge’s confronting our state”.

“The meeting dwelled on security issues such as theft, incessant crimes, kidnappings, armed robbery, among others”, he said

When pressed to explain further, the council member added that security issues are too crucial to disclose, he however assured that the results of their discussions, and approvals will be rolled out in time  in the quest for its success.

It could be recalled that the wave of crimes, and criminality had increased in the state in the past two month’s, the worse being the high rate of kidnappings at various locations in the state.

Available information reveal that more than fifteen people had been kidnapped and are still being held by unknown people suspected to be bandits.

Shedding more light, Governor Badaru assured of government commitment in rendering support to security formations in the bid to achieve the desired objectives.
