Police Arrest 62 Years-Old Fraudster In Kano.

The Kano state police command has arrested a 62years old man, Rabiu Sani, resident of Dala quarters in Kano metropolis, for committing fraud and  offering of  forged  employment  letters to his victims.

The suspect was apprehended after series of complaints were lodged with the police detailing  his fraudulent operations by defrauding citizens under the guise of securing job opportunities  for them .

One of the victims (namewithel)informed the police that she paid huge sum to the fraudster, “ Rabiu gave  me a letter of employment, i  reported to my place of work, I worked for four months without salary, I became suspicious and when I investigated,  I came to realized that I have been defrauded.”

The nominal complainant informed the police that they paid the suspect monies ranging from N50,000 to N100,000 to help them secure job placement with the state government.

The spokesman, Kano Police command, Dsp Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed to TN that the suspect is in police custody.

Dsp Kiyawa said 30 pieces of suspected forged letters of employment were recovered from the possession of the suspect, adding that the sum of N1.2million were also recovered as exhibits.

He noted that investigations into the activities of the suspect is still in progress, he said on completion of investigations by the police, the suspect would be charged to court.
