The structural engineer of a 21-storey building that collapsed at Gerard Road, Ikoyi, is reportedly trapped under the rubble alongside about 50 other workers.
An eyewitness told ThisNigeria at the scene of the collapse.
According to him, the building collapsed at about 2 pm.

“We all felt the vibration and before we knew it, the building collapsed.
“Immediately, we called emergency services but they did not respond until an hour later,” the eyewitness said.
A corpse has been recovered by construction workers at the scene of the incident.
