Kankara boys rescued by troops, not Miyetti Allah, says Defence Hqtrs

Military authorities have debunked claims by Katsina and Zamfara Governors, Aminu Bello Masari, and Bello Matawale that the Miyetti Allah group were critical to the release of the 334 abducted students of Government science secondary school, Kankara, Katsina state, declaring that troops fully rescued the boys.
Spokesman of Defence Headquarters, Major General John Eneche, faulted the governors, insisting that the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji successfully rescued all 344 abducted students of the school
In a statement, General Enenche disclosed that the military rescued the boys, thanking “the members of general public who volunteered information are also appreciated”.
He explained that the school boys were rescued “on the heels of credible intelligence by the gallant troops”, who deployed high-tech expertise to ensure that there are no casualties on the part of the boys.
