Insecurity: Labour Institute partners Security institute

The Michael lmoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MlNlLS), llorin, Kwara, says it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Bwari FCT-Abuja, to raise more awareness and education on security issues.

The Director-General of the institute, Mr lssa Aremu, disclosed this while adressing newsmen in llorin on Thursday.

Aremu said MINILS had met with the Commandant of NISS and reached agreement for collaboration and understanding on partnership to train people on awareness on security matters.

“Both institutes are concluding arrangement on partnering to promote security awareness and education in the country,” the director-general said.

He said that the two training institutions agreed to improve on their curricula to reflect contemporary issues such as fighting insecurity in all parts of the country.

Aremu added that the partnership was also aimed at promoting industrial harmony and peace.

He expressed optimism that the partnership would solve several security and economic challenges confronting the nation

The National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja, is the foremost security training institute in Nigeria.
