Afghan forces storm Taliban hideout, rescue 62 detainees

Afghan Special Forces stormed a Taliban detention centre in Baghlan province and rescued 62 hostages including 36 security personnel.
This is contained in a statement by the army.
According to the statement, the special forces raided the Taliban detention centre in Nawrozak village of Baghlan-e-Markazi district in the wee hours of Wednesday.
After killing four guards of the centre, they rescued 62 detainees including 36 security personnel and 26 civilians.

The Special Forces also destroyed the detention centre of the armed insurgents.
This was the second attack on Taliban detention centres to release detainees from Taliban clutches in Baghlan over the past three days.
In the previous attack on the Taliban, the Special Forces stormed the armed group’s hideout in Baghlan on Monday and rescued eight security personnel.
