Tinubu’s leadership inspires excellence, says NTAC DG

The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has dedicated his “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year” award to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the honour as a reflection of the President’s inspiring leadership and commitment to public service.

Buba Yakub received the award during the 9th Nigerian Assembly Orientation and Award Ceremony 2025, held on Wednesday at the National Assembly Library Trust Fund Hall, Abuja.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Nkem Anyata-Lafia, the NTAC DG expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, pledging to continue promoting Nigeria’s global image through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.

He commended the organisers of the award, led by Prince Adeboye Omoboye, Publisher of Assembly News, for promoting excellence and integrity in public service. Omoboye explained that the NTAC DG was selected after a national poll for his “commitment and sacrifice in repositioning the Corps as a tool of Nigeria’s soft power and development diplomacy.”

Earlier, the Director General of the Nigerian Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Issa Lanre-Onilu, who was represented by Tolu Meduna, urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of patriotism under the agency’s new “7 for 7 National Value Charter.”

The event, which recognized outstanding Nigerians across various categories, ended with a renewed call for unity, responsible citizenship, and collective national progress.

Buba Yakub was accompanied by top NTAC officials, including Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed, Amb. Zakari Usman, Mrs. Meimunat Haruna-Mustapha, and Mr. Adekola Lawal, among others.
