President Muhammadu Buhari has once again departed to the United Kingdom for his medical check up on Tuesday.
This was announced by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu on Monday via Twitter.
“President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.
“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey. He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021,” the tweet read.
This brings his total number of trips to the UK since the inception of his administration in 2015 to 12.

Below is a timeline of the President’s trips to the UK;
2016: February 5th-10th: First holiday since the beginning of his administration in 2015.
May 13th-15th: Attended the first ever Anti-Corruption summit.
July 6th-19th: President Buhari went on a sick leave.
2017: May 7th-Aug.20th: Proceeded on second sick leave.
Sep. 21st-25th: Took another holiday trip.
2018: Apr.9th-19th: Buhari attended meeting of Commonwealth Nations.
May 1st-2nd: Went to London in transit
May 8th-18th: President Buhari took a medical trip
Aug.3rd-13th: Went on another vacation.
2019: April 25th-May 5th: Buhari took a private trip.
January 20th, 2020: Attended the first Anglo-African Investment Summit.
March 30th, 2021: Buhari leaves for medical check up
