Uganda’s minister, Charles Engola shot dead

The state minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations in Uganda, Charles Okello Engola, has been shot dead.
Engola was shot dead by his personal bodyguard at his residence in Kampala on Tuesday, May 2nd.
According to report, there was an altercation between the minister and his bodyguard over payment of his wages.
Upon realizing that his boss was dead, the bodyguard who has not been publicly identified shot himself too.
Details to the reason behind the minister’s killing is sketchy.
However, investigations are ongoing.
Retired Colonel Charles Engola served in the government of President Yoweri Museveni as the junior minister in charge of labour, employment and industrial relations.
He also previously served as the deputy minister for defence in the country.
