Some clerics in the Ondo state particularly the Akoko axis in the Northern District of the state have expressed concern over incessant killings of innocent souls.

Both Cannon Foluso Ogunsuyi and Sheik Basiru Aminu speaking on behalf of concerned Akoko clerics wondered how the blood of innocent Nigerians is being shed daily without the fear of God.

They pointed out that the scripture prohibited the killing of human beings.

According to them, daily negative media reports on the killing of human beings in Nigeria are worrisome.

They called on traditional rulers not to fold arms rather they should join hands with the government to fish out perpetrators of these dastardly acts in order to give the country a better image in the comity of Nations.

They appealed to police and judiciary to always accelerate such cases to serve as deterrents to others.
