We have restored peace at Iddo, says FCT Police Command, Reassures Residents of Safety

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said on Monday that they have successfully restored calm along Iddo axis, following a farmers-herders clash that broke out between locals residing in a settlement within Iddo.
ASP Yusuf Mariam, Police Public Relations Officer, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police FCT Police Command, Bala Ciroma, said the unfortunate clash left three persons with various degrees of injury while some thatched houses were set ablaze within the area.
“The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP. Bala Ciroma, has ordered a discreet investigation into the incident. The Commissioner of Police has also engaged community and religious leaders within Iddo in peace talks to forestall the reoccurrence of such an event,” she said.
While reiterating his unflinching resolve to the protection of lives and property within FCT, Ciroma urged the residents of the FCT to eschew violence of all forms and embrace peace.
