The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Etteh over alleged fraud.
According to reports, Etteh was picked up by the anti-graft agency on Tuesday for questioning.
She is accused of being involved in a N240m Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) contract fraud.

Etteh was elected Speaker in 2007. However, she resigned only after a few months amid allegations of financial misappropriation.
Recall that on Monday, the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris was also arrested over an alleged N80bn fraud.
