You have no right to call for Wike’s removal, Asari Dokubo tells Gumi

A former Niger Delta Militant, Asari Dokubo has knocked Islamic scholar, Sheikh Gumi over his attack on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

 

Speaking on Friday, Dokubo stated that even though he was not friends with the Minister, Gumi had no right to call for his removal.

 

He stated further that Gumi, who hailed from Sokoto, had no right to make such call as the FCT belonged to all Nigerians..

 

Dokubo said “Sheikh Abubakar Gumi has no right to demand the removal of the FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

 

“I disagree with his demand for Wike’s removal, even though everyone knows that the FCT minister is not my friend.

“I was one of those who gave Nyesom Wike a tough time when he was the governor of Rivers State, but that does not mean I will support the demand for his removal.

 

“Sheikh Abubakar Gumi is originally from Sokoto state so why will he be demanding the removal of Nyesom Wike who is in Abuja?

 

“The truth that must be made clear to people is that Abuja does not belong to Sheikh Gumi, Nyesom Wike, the president, or anyone else. It belongs to all of us.”
