Ahead of 2023, a presidential aspirant on the platform of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Malik Ado-Ibrahim, yesterday declared that Nigerians should reject leaders who have in one way or another failed the country in their previous positions.
He was speaking during an interactive session with journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council, at Utako, Abuja, at a presentation entitled, “The Exposure: Deconstructing the Aspirant”.
The aspirant said Nigerians should choose between a president and a leader who has Nigeria at heart.
Ado-Ibrahim said he decided to contest for the country’s number one seat in order to change the narrative.
He said Nigerians should be careful of moneybag politicians in both the camps of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC), saying, “these are the people that brought us where we are today.”
“Today, no country works without power. For me, I have the knowledge, I am into solar power. I have done it for many countries across the world, even Borno State.

“Security is another major problem we are currently facing here in Nigeria. I can tell you that I am into security too. I will bring my expertise to bear.”
According to him, “Presidency is not about what I want to be president. It is about leadership. Many of these people contesting today have held one office or another. Check them; what is their pedigree? It is all about themselves, not for the people.
“Please, my appeal to Nigerians is to choose between personality and party in 2023”.
