Some students on Tuesday blocked the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in a planned protest over the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of University(ASUU)

To show their grievance, the students blocked the Shagamu interchange section of the road, making it difficult for motorists to operate.

However, security personnel were deployed to the scene of the protest to ensure free flow of traffic on the road.

Meanwhike, the Federal Government through the Minister of Labour and Employement ,Dr chris Ngige filed a suit against ASUU over its ongoing strike and the hearing was adjourned till Friday September 16th.

ASUU had embarked on the strike February 14th,2022.
