A Football Administrator, Ebere Amaraizu, has urged the Super Eagles to be focused and give their best in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated to kick-off on Jan. 9 in Cameroon.
In an interview in Enugu on Thursday, Amaraizu, a Director in Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO), said “the national team should go to Cameroon and make a strong statement.’’
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are drawn in Group D alongside Egypt, Guinea Bissau and Sudan at the 2021 AFCON tournament.
“The Super Eagles remain one of the most hard-fighting national teams in Africa and they should display why they are the superiors at this continental stage.
“The team is made up of young, talented and success hungry players, which I know would make the nation proud in Cameroon.
“However, they should be focused and put in a lot of hard work in each match and never underrate any national team; as no team is a push over at the continental stage.

“I believe that the Super Eagles have all that is required to win the tournament and return with the trophy to Nigeria,” he said.
Amaraizu, who is in-charge of NLO activities in the South-East, said that millions of Nigerians within and outside the country were praying for the success of the team at the tournament.
Super Eagles have won the tournament three times — in Nigeria in 1980, Tunisia in 1994 and in South Africa in 2013. (NAN)
