Publisher of Sahara Reporters and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore on Wednesday, alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the suspension of Channels Television license over a controversial interview on alleged sponsors of terrorist organisation, Boko Haram.
A retired Naval Commodore, Kunle Olawunmi had granted an interview on Channels TV programme, Sunrise Daily, alleging that the sponsors of Boko Haram were high-ranking members of the Buhari administration.
Olawunmi stated further that the terrorists mentioned names of current governors, senators and Aso Rock officials as sponsors during interrogation but Buhari refused to go after them for reasons known to him.
Posting a clip from the interview on his verified Facebook page, Sowore alleged that President Buhari had ordered the arrest of a co-host on the programme, Chamberlain Usoh and his colleagues over the interview.
