Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Saturday stunned delegates as wild eruption of jubilation greeted his invitation to the podium to address delegates.
Supporters erupted into wild jubilation, even as he was yet to deliver his manifesto; they sang songs of victory as he mounted the podium.
It was obvious the delegates from Rivers State, Ekiti, Ondo and Benue were for him, some even wore his branded shirts.
He spoke on two main issues: party unity and the need to give full support to who ever wins the primary election.
“ Let’s support who ever wins to the fullest. This is my party, I am going nowhere.”

He said leadership was the main challenge the country has and that Nigeria today needed a courageous and fearless leader who can defeat the APC and that he fit into the character of such a leader.
He urged the delegates to vote him as he has what it takes to defeat the APC and bring Nigeria out of the woods.
