A former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Saturday.
According to reports, Saraki is facing allegations of theft and laundering of public funds using proxy companies.
The proxy companies allegedly executed contracts for the Kwara State Government under the former President of the Senate.

Recall that Saraki had faced allegations of corruption and false declaration of assets between 2015 and 2019.
However, he was acquitted by the Supreme Court of Nigeria in June 2018.
