A yet-to-be-identified Chinese man has been arrested for stabbing a lady identified as Ummita to death in Kano.
It was learnt that the incident took place at the Janbula area of the state.
A Twitter user, @ahmadranking alleged that the Chinese had called the deceased several times over the phone. However, late Ummita did not answer his calls.

“Little misunderstanding, Called her repeatedly and she didn’t pick, went to their home, bang repeatedly at their door, her mom got furious and decided to come confront him, he pushed her as she opened the door and head straight in where he located Ummita and stabbed her to death.
“The first men on the scene were elders, they locked him deep in the house and called for police, we all couldn’t do a thing as the door to the main entrance was sealed,” Ahmad tweeted.
Twitter users have began trending #JusticeforUmmita, calling for the swift prosecution of the suspect.
