The Cross River State governor Professor Ben Ayade and his Plateau State counterpart Simon Lalong have expressed their condolences over the demise of Late Mike Ogar.
Ogar, a former Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly representing Bekwarra State Constituency died at 63 following an undisclosed ailment.
He was also the Pioneer Speaker of the Speakers Conference.
Speaking during a valedictory service in honor of Ogar at the State House of Assembly, Professor Ayade said he is saddened by the death of Ogar.
He described Ogar as a perfect example of a man who lived by the system formula.
He said his death should serve as a renewal of our faith that the goodness of the soul and perfection of value to mankind is the ultimate value of our lives.
On his part, Plateau State governor Simon Lalong commended Ogar for standing firm for the autonomy of the legislature.

He told members that the purpose of autonomy is to strengthen the institution and not a license to misappropriate funds.
He promised that the conference of former speakers will stand by the family of the deceased former Speaker.
Dignatories who graced the valedictory service include former governors of Cross River and Rivers State, Donald Duke and Rotimi Amaechi as well as the Senator Representing Cross River Central Sandy Onor.
Over 40 former speakers from across the country graced the valedictory service which was presided over by the Speaker of the State Assembly, Eteng Jonas Williams.
