Edo Polls: Obaseki inches closer to his second-term with 82,000 points

Results from 17 local governments have been collated from Saturday’s elections. Thus far, the results show that the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Godwin Obaseki, is in the lead.

Obaseki leads his closest rival, All Progressive Congress’ Osagie Ize-Iyamu by 82, 313 votes.

The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, is now set to announce Obaseki as the winner owing to the fact that the last local government to be counted -Ovia South-West- has only 73,909 voters.

Obaseki/PDP: 295,296
