Ekitu 2022: Oni appoints Ex-Ambassador Campaign DG

Following the commencement of the campaign for the June 18 governorship in Ekiti State on Monday, the Social Democratic Party’s candidate and former governor of the state, Engr. Segun Oni has appointed former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Canada, Dare Bejide, as the Director-General of his campaign structures.

A statement by the Director of Media and Publicity, Jackson Adebayo, on Monday, in Ado Ekiti, said Bejide was appointed based on his experience in politics and administration.

The new Director-General, who is a legal luminary, was an Ambassador to the Republic of Canada under President Olusegun Obasanjo and Secretary to the State government in the first administration of former governor Oni.
