Emefiele: EFCC raids Dangote Lagos headquarters

The Lagos Head Office of the Dangote Group was raided on Thursday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
According to reports, the raid was connected to the forex allocated to the company during the tenure of Godwin Emefiele as the Central Bank Governor.
It was learnt that the agency was at the company to demand documents related to the allocation and utilisation of foreign currencies to the group in the last decade.
ThisNigeria reports that Emefiele and the CBN have been under investigation for alleged fraud.
Jim Obazee, the special investigator appointed by President Bola Tinubu, had revealed that the sum of 543.4 million pounds was kept by Emefiele in fixed deposit accounts.
Obazee also revealed that the former CBN governor manipulated the naira exchange rate and committed fraud in the e-Naira project.
