A former member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos, Daniel Kola, has threatened to expose the nefarious activities of a prominent leader, Kunle Shodiya whose influence in the transportation sector spans across the country.
He made this information known recently despite threats to his life, adding that Shodiya’s affiliation with politicians has allowed him get away with the havocs caused in the country.
The NURTW leader who Kola alleged is also a political thug, has reportedly been involved in various acts of violence and disruption, making use of his close ties with influential politicians to stay out of the long arm of the law. His notorious reputation grew during the 2020 EndSARS protest, when he allegedly led his faction to violently disperse peaceful protesters in the Agege area.
Kola, who played the role of a minion in the NURTW, has made it his mission to cleanse the system of criminal elements that tarnish the union’s image. With his firsthand knowledge of the workings of the transport industry and its illicit connections, Kola is determined to expose the unholy alliance between politicians and persons like Shodiya.
Speaking against Shodiya’s actions, the former union member stated, “These thugs, backed by politicians, are responsible for perpetrating violence and causing unrest within our communities. It’s time we reveal their true nature and put an end to their reign of terror.”
