She told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Tuesday that the technology and bibliotherapy-based
Non-Government Organization (NGO), was established to transform the lives of vulnerable people and amplify
their voices and needs for social change in the society.

According to her, the  foundation is the first bibliotherapy platform in the country that uses poetry to heal the trauma of victims of various forms of abuse through its website.

She said that the NGO had hosted over 30 survivors of SGBV as part of efforts to address violence.

According to her, the foundation is involved in the process of rescue, shelter placement and prosecution of
perpetrators of the abuse to get justice for survivors.

She added that “the NGO is with a mission to foster new generation of human right advocates and engage in activities that guarantee the rights of women, children and the vulnerable, to be free from violence, abuse and exploitation.

“Every child, woman or vulnerable person deserves to be heard, aided when in need of help and be treated with
dignity and fairness; that is why we are leveraging on innovative methods to eradicate gender inequality.

“DOHS podcast caters for survivors and victims of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence to share their experiences
and to motivate women and girls to speak against abuse, abandonment and toxic environment.

“The foundation’s sensitization initiatives are already citadels for global advocates to protect the vulnerable
against abuse. ”The coordinator added that the foundation is also involved in education advocacy, community sensitization and safe space programme for survivors of abuse. (NAN)
