Hotel security beats up couple over food

A woman identified as @orimimabayomije, has narrated how she and her husband were assaulted by a security guard for bringing food from outside to the hotel they lodged.
Calling out the hotel via X, she said they were not aware of the policy of the hotel that prohibits bringing in external food.
She wrote:”My husband and I were assaulted by a security guard at Rockview Hotel Royals Abuja for bringing food from outside the hotel.
“We were not informed of any policy against bringing in external food when we lodged at the hotel on Friday.
“We ordered rice and chicken from the hotel’s restaurant on Friday night, but the meal was inedible.
“We decided to order food from Farmcity on Saturday night, but when we returned to the hotel, a security guard stopped us and said we were not allowed to bring in food from outside.
“We went to the reception to speak to the manager, but he did not show up.
“While we were waiting for the manager, the security guard started to drag the food from my husband.
“This led to an argument and the security guard eventually assaulted us.
“He even pushed me to the ground and gave me blow.
“The manager eventually showed up and we were offered compensation in the form of pastries, but I refused.
“I am still feeling the effects of the assault and I do not know how to seek redress.
“I am posting my experience online to warn others about the hotel and to ask for advice on how to move forward.”
