How my role in ‘Seven Doors’ forced me to learn Yoruba – Chioma Chukwuka

Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha has disclosed that she had to learn the Yoruba language to perfect her role in the recently-released Netflix series, Seven Doors.

The movie star played the role of a queen in the movie, who was married to a Yoruba king.

In a recent interview with her onscreen husband, Femi Adebayo, the actress disclosed that she learned Yoruba specifically for her role in the series.

She said, “I had to learn Yoruba for my role in Seven Doors. The Yoruba in the movie was not the regular one spoken in Lagos State, so I had to be very particular about the tone.”
