Addressing newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara state capital, Chairman of the union, comrade Aminu Garba, said members of the Union who were conducting lawful businesses faced serious challenge from the hoodlums, as their ware houses were attacked and vandalised, resulting to the death of three persons in Lagos.

He condemned the looting of warehouses and vandalization of public and private properties by hoodlums and vandals in the southern parts of the country, describing it as unnecessary and reprehensible.

“The hoodlums took advantage of the EndSARS protest to attack our ware houses and loot our animals and foodstuffs”, he added.

According to him, various trucks loaded with cattle and foodstuffs were burnt to ashes, including the drivers and the vendors of the commodities.

He called on federal and State governments to provide relief and compensation to the victims.

He also called on their members to always seek legal process while claiming their rights. ENDs
