Ize-Iyamu Loses His Local Government
Obaseki wins by 2,978 votes

The ominous handwriting is on the wall in the ongoing Edo State Elections, as the Incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki further extends his lead over Ize-Iyamu. In the announced result of the Orhionmwon LGA, PDP won the election scoring 13,445 against 10,458 scored by the APC.
This announcement was preceded by drama as the INEC declared a two hour break, when the electoral officer for Orhionmwon LGA who was already ready with the result at the State Collation Center, could not be found. This led the party representatives of the PDP to raise an objection to the break.
Governor Neysom Wike, the State Coordinator for the Obaseki Campaign also called a press conference where he encouraged INEC to be bold and complete the good work they have done so far with the Edo 2020 election.
With the 17 local governments so far announced, Godwin Obaseki is currently leading and heading to a landslide victory in the Elections.
