Jigawa pays over N19b pension dues to pensioner’s in 5 years

Jigawa state government has expended N19,041,411,43k as pension dues, while paid N30,531,414,958.91k. as gratuity from inception of the present administration to date to 11,276 pensioner’s across jigawa state, the Executive Secretary, state and local govt pension board, Hon. Ahmed Fagam has disclosed.
Speaking at the board’s conference hall shortly after making April to December pension dues to 537 retired state, local govt, abd LEA eetired sraffs said the paynent was categorised into three segment’s.
The retired state persons stood at 173 people and were paid N396,254,776.87, Retired Local Govt Staffs received N105, 129,581,595.22k, as well LEA with 146 people whom were paid N329,848,497.26 totalling 424 retired civil servants whom were paid N854,0646,869.36.
On payment of death benefits, about 42 retired state staff’s received N107,601,742.64, 25 persons from local govts and were paid N67,423,860 and LEA with 16 persons and were paid N32,624,262 totalling 83 persons involved and were paid over N207 m.
Similarly the board has paid death pension balance to 12 state retired staffs at N12,727,, and LEA with 8 retired staff totalling over N21m
On refund of 8 per cent two retired state staffs have received N50152884, state balance affecting 229 people and were paid N517,88585679
LGC’s,131 persons and were paid N198,228,805.03, LEA 170 retired persons and were paid N369,262,051.95 totalling 537 retired persons who received N1,840,871,513,77k.
Fagam commended jigawa state government over continued support and patronage received at all time’s, stressing the gesture usually facilitates the activities of the board.
He warn pensioner’s to be wary of the middle men in persuance of their entitlements, warning we don’t engage the service’s of any outsider in mingling over our activities.
