Man, Widow weep uncontrollably as Lagos govt auctions seized vehicles

An unidentified man whose vehicle was impounded by the Lagos State Task Force broke down in tears as his vehicle was auctioned for 370,000 thousand naira on Thursday.

The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Justice and The state Taskforce, had auctioned some cars seized from traffic offenders at the Lagos State Task Force’ headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja.

In a viral video on social media, a man could be seen weeping bitterly while begging bidders present at the event to stop bidding for his vehicle.

Similarly, a widow identified as Dorothy Dike and her son, Osinachi Ndukwe, were also seen weeping at the event as their vehicle which was bought on hire purchase for 1.8 million naira was being auctioned for less than 500,000 thousand naira.

The mother and son cried and pleaded with the bidders to assist them in getting their vehicle back when the auction hit 430,000 naira which they couldn’t afford.
