Marrying a virgin does not guarantee happiness – Actress Sarah Martins

Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins, has responded to writer Solomon Buchi’s controversial stance on marriage and virginity.
Martins took to her page on Sunday to set the record straight and challenge the perception that being a virgin guarantees a lasting marriage.
According to her, the fact that she got married as a virgin should not be a reason to look down on others.
Buchi had quoted a report on happiness in marriage, saying “There’s nothing shameful about marrying on a clean slate. Most sexual problems in marriage stem from past sexual experiences. Lastly, even if there was no benefit of virginity, we ought to stay virgin till marriage because God commanded it. God is wise, I’d rather follow Him than follow the bandwagon.
“Stop trying to ridicule virtue just because you lack it.”
In response to Buchi’s post, she wrote, “Dear Solomon Buchi, I was married as a virgin at the age of 19. I am still a loyal, submissive, respectful, hardworking woman.
“Getting married as a virgin will never stop you from getting a divorce if the need arises… if e no good for your health quit!
“Some of us are different from what we portray online… Stop the comparison already!
‘The fact you got married to a virgin shouldn’t be an avenue to talk down on other people! We are all unique in our ways!
“And yes, I was married as a virgin so what’s the jubilation about?????
Mtcheeew.”
The actress urged people to stop making unwarranted comparisons and highlighted the disparity between online personas and real-life personalities.
