Mercy Chinwo: VDM reacts to arrest order

Controversial social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM has reacted to the bench warrant issued for his arrest.
On Thursday, an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Wuse Zone 6, ordered the arrest of VDM following a criminal defamation case that was brought before the court by a renowned female gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.
Reacting to the development, the social media activist claimed there was a plot to shut him down using the judiciary.
VDM, who disclosed that he will return to Nigeria soon from his trip to China, vowed to expose those behind his legal battles.
He said in a Facebook video, “First things first, the judiciary can not shut me down, a lot of you don’t know but there is a plot for the judiciary to shut me down. I’ll resist it and expose all those paying money for it. I’ll expose all their illegal orders.
“How can a lawyer have six cases in front of one magistrate in one day and on that same day, the judge ordered my arrest after my lawyer informed him that I’m not in Nigeria and told them I have cases in that same court and I have never missed a day. I was in China when they filed for that case. No reasonable person will give such an order based on the case they filed.”
