Miss Amnesty Nigeria founder praises Otti over sexual assault centre launch in Abia

The Founder of Miss Amnesty Nigeria, Tracy Mcwary Foundation, has congratulated Governor Alex Otti of Abia State on the establishment of the Nchedo Sexual Assault Referral Centre at Aba General Hospital, describing the initiative as a bold step in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the state.
In a congratulatory letter on Friday, the Founder commended Governor Otti for prioritising the protection of women and girls, saying the Centre is a sanctuary for survivors and a symbol of justice for the oppressed.
“The creation of the Nchedo Sexual Assault Referral Centre is more than the unveiling of a structure; it is the unveiling of hope. It is a strong institutional response to a moral crisis that has long demanded decisive action,” the letter read.
The Foundation also praised Governor Otti’s leadership, stating that true leadership is measured by the safety of the most vulnerable, and his administration has demonstrated this by launching the Centre.
The letter further read, “By launching the Nchedo Sexual Assault Referral Centre, you have chosen to stand firmly on the side of justice, compassion, and accountability. May this milestone mark the beginning of even greater reforms toward a violence-free Abia State and a Nigeria where every girl child can dream boldly, live safely, and achieve her fullest potential.”
The Foundation assured Governor Otti of its continued partnership in advancing human rights, equity, and sustainable social protection.
