A woman identified as Hanna has been arrested by police in Egypt for hacking her son to death and eating parts of his body.
According to reports, Hanaa killed her five-year-old son with four blows to the head before proceeding to butcher him and cooking parts of him in boiling water before eating them.
She was arrested following complaints by a family member who saw body parts tucked in a bucket when he visited their residence in Abu- Shalabi in Egypt.
Upon interrogation, the 29-year-old mother who is suffering from mental illness disclosed that she killed her son because she wanted him to stay with her forever.
She further stated that she killed the little boy(Youssef) because she wanted to enact her revenge on his father who was always attempting to take him away from her.
The suspect and her son had been living together alone after she separated from her husband over irreconcilable differences.
