Popular actor and singer, Gabriel Afolayan, has stated that his music and acting careers complement each other.
The entertainer revealed that both careers impact each other saying, “They complement each other because it is still the same entity representing both. Whatever I do, it’s all under the same Gabriel Afolayan brand”.
On the reason for venturing into the music industry, Afolayan said, “I do music for the love of it. It’s translating based on that. Because if you are doing it for the other one (money), that is when you start putting yourself under pressure. If you are doing it for the love of it, it will resonate because what you are trying to communicate will always show up. So, I do it for the passion and it is translating into money.”
Additionally, he said that he makes sacrifices for every role he plays.
“Acting demands that one pours one’s heart into every role one plays. It is passion and dedication that will make one excel, prompting people to say one is always doing great work. I wouldn’t say there’s one thing that has made me sacrifice so much. Every role I take on is, in itself, a significant sacrifice.”
